Yoga isn't just about standing on one leg.

Yoga is for everyone and every body. Participation in a yoga class also isn't determined by flexibility or ability to balance. As a practice it has been used for so many different purposes: medicinally to heal disease, meditatively to strive for enlightenment, physically to ensure bodily strength. It has much to offer to old and young, firm and infirm, flexible and inflexible, and everything in between.
My yoga journey began over 20 years ago; it's helped to keep me steady through times of strength and weakness, both physically and mentally. My yoga classes, workshops and retreats are more than just asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation - each has a theme linked with the season or reflects something topical happening. I suggest ideas about how to take your yoga off your mat and into your life, as this is where its transformative power can truly be felt.
I trained with Ian Davis of Orange Yoga in the Vinyasa Yoga tradition (YA 200 hour) in 2015 and since then have completed further Yin Yoga training with Norman Blair, Restorative Yoga with Adeline Cheong, Pregnancy Yoga with Yoga Gro and Ashtanga Yoga with Orange Yoga as well as qualifying as a Teen Yoga teacher through the Teen Yoga Foundation. I am currently completing my Advanced Yoga Teacher Training (YA 300 hour) through Orange Yoga.
My yoga teaching is infused with poetry and prose and incorporates elements from the natural world: off my mat, I have studied and taught English for 17 years and am a qualified Forest School Leader.
